Humans get malaria from the bite of a malaria-infected mosquito. When a mosquito bites an infected person, it ingests microscopic malaria parasites found in the person’s blood. The malaria parasite must grow in the mosquito for a week or more before infection can be passed to another person. If, after a week, the mosquito then bites another person, the parasites go from the mosquito’s mouth into the person’s blood. The parasites then travel to the person’s liver, enter the liver’s cells, grow and multiply. During this time when the parasites are in the liver, the person has not yet felt sick. The parasites leave the liver and enter red blood cells; this may take as little as 8 days or as many as several months. Once inside the red blood cells, the parasites grow and multiply. The red blood cells burst, freeing the parasites to attack other red blood cells. Toxins from the parasite are also released into the blood, making the person feel sick. If a mosquito bites this person while the parasites are in his or her blood, it will ingest the tiny parasites. After a week or more, the mosquito can infect another person.

Fever is the first symptom. Several hours later, the fever drops and chills set in. Two to four days later, the cycle repeats. More serious forms of malaria can affect the brain and the kidneys. Progression of symptoms from initial fever to death can take as little as 24 hours.

i havent updated in a while; ill sum most of it up cause i dont feel like typing it all; haha; so here it goes

tara came; funfunfunfunfunfun; awesome times; late nights; going out! yesterday movie day with tara and chrissy; then i hung out with david =] went for a ride in his pick up =] came home; project; which then lead to today THE LAST FULL DAY OF SCHOOL!!! YESSSS; tonight i have to studay for finials; or pretend to; cause tomrrow i have history finial but i go in at 10 and get out at 12 =] then thursday i have english at the same time; but friday i have chem which starts at 8 but i get home at 10; then monday i have math and spanish which will take 8-12; then on tuesday im taking off and me and chrissy are going to 6 flags for some funfunfunfunfunfunfun; wed go to school to pick up year book and SCHOOL IS DONE!! YEA; soo excited; then a week later. its off to california!! yay! then a month later its off to florida! whwohwohw then a month later its off to virginia; then a month later its back to school and i start driving WHOWWH; oh yea; oh yea cant wait! good times

well that just about sums it up!

ps. i still have poison ivy and it wont go away; and now its on my foot!

soo much has been going on lately;

first things arent going well at all; annins mom died; the funeral was sad; and it was hard; mrs johnson was like a mom to me!; and it was hard to have to let her go! RIP ANNITA;

second; idk why but i just seem really sad lately; but who cares; theres nothing to complain about yea; yea i know people have it a lot worse then me; but some times i just cant help it;

third; school is almost over; and for some reason i dont feel excited or great about it; i feel more like; i dont even want to be here period; i just wish high school was over!

im really worried about my finials; and i have a feeling that im not going to do all that great; BUT i will try my hardest; 3 more full days of school! are you excited CAUSE I AM

tonight im going to see harry potter with my sister yay; were going to the midnight show!!!!!!! shes a big harry potter fan but hey SO AM I; haha; i need to drink a lot of coffee cause i have to get up for school tomorrow; but mean for harry potter its worth it! hahah;

OK i know that you all just want to know what i did this weekend! well ill tell you!

friday- kelsey came over and we hung out; you know you know; and umm; YES; we hung out; chrissy was a doll and brought us places; and we got to go to CIRCUT CITY; and we got to go to home depot HAHA; good times good times; then kelsey left and i went to sleep; friday was a short night; i was out like a light early

sat; umm; YES me and chrissy went to palisades mall; and i got MUCHOOOO things; including new shoes; cause my other ones had holes and were held together by duct tape =] then we came home and UMM; me and chrissy went on a bike ride to the carnival where we met up with casey and chris; went to the chineese place; then back to the carnival; got ewa and sarah there zepolies; hten off to ewas house with sarah and her cousin; i forget her name =[ then we watched a movie; hung out like it was are job and i was off home;

sunday; woke up early went to church; came home then went to nanas; then hung out with matt and david WHOWOWHHWO; then went to jennys and picked her up; came home and hung out; then POOL PARTY AT MY HOUSE; oh man it was great; i mean who wasnt there HAHA; whowhwo; it was funfunfunfunfun; sarah got attacked by maxwell the pool cleaner; haha it was great; and it was fun; got cold after a while thou; then sarah and casey slept over; and it was fun; we watched some movies; talked; and lit stuff on fire; then morning arrived; and casey and sarah had to leave early cause they had to go to the parade; and i SLEPT<3 haha; then my sister woke me up at like 130; and i got up and started to clean my room; cuase it needs it; then we went to see my grandma; she is doing good!; then we went out to dinner; and then went to rag shop wehre i got a new sketch pad and new markers and pastels =]=] yay; haha; then i came home and cleaned more of my room; and now im here!

this is the last full week of school!! and i lauren am sooooo very excited; but i am not ready for finials! EHH; yupp; well thats all

well; to start off; i have poison ivy; and its itchy!! tonight is battle of the bands; yay; then im goign off to the carnical after; so i have a fun and packed filled night;

the days are winding down; the end of school keeps on getting closer; and its awesome! i cant wait; this summer is going to be so awesome; i cant wait!

ok; heres the story; my sister was cleaning the pool and there was a chimpmunk in the pool; we got him out; and he couldnt walk; his back legs werent working; and he was shivering; it was SO sad; so we put it in a bucket and brought it into my house where we gave it food and water; and covered it with cotton balls to warm up; then my mom came home and told us it was going to die!; but i didnt stop there; i made sure it was in the house to get warm; few hours later; it was up and running! so me and my sister let it go; and it ran up the tree and i havent seen it since;

nothing at all has been going on here; i mean; nothing at all; hhaha; well; today i had to go back to school =[=[ big bummer; def didnt want to do that; and then i came home; and there was no electricity!!! oh man; it was horrible; i thought i was going to die; i had no computer for like a half an hour; haha i know thats pretty pathetic;

becca is going to africa this summer for 2 months; i cant wait to see her in august cuase its been a while and i doooo miss her sooo; tonight i have to write her a huge note so she can read it when she is in africa; helping the poor; and all the kids there; that becca girl is just soo sweet; hehe;

tomorrow the carnival starts; and im really excited; finially something to do in this town; haha; im tired of watching movies and going on walks; thats all we ever do here; haha; not like there is much more to do unless you wnat to hang out at cvs all day;

ah; this weekend went by so fast; on saturday i went to sarahs house with ewa nikki casey chris and cedric; we watched some japaneese movie with subtitles; it was pretty scary; the name was like juno or something; it was about this house and this little possed kid; and this cat; and lady; oh yea; good times;

today i did work around the house; and me and my sister went food shopping; it was pretty fun; we got food; haha; then we went to ritas for ice! yummm

hmmm

i got my rook pierced =] and it kills hahah; friday i went to visit my grandma; shes getting a lot better!!! me and chrissy brought her some flowers and a card; and she was very happy so thats good;

SENSES FAIL WAS SOO AWESOME!!!; i mean really awesome; dave=hottness; ALKALINE TRIO KICKED; it was fun;

no cameras were allowded; they were really hardcored there; =[ so i didnt get any pictures; which is a HUGE let down and im stilll very very upset about that; it was so hot in there; haha i think is cause of senses fail; OH YEA; it sure is

then after we headed home; brought ewa home and kelsey slept over; WE WENT PJ SWIMMING; oh man it was great; the pool was freezing cause are heater wasnt on; but it was still great; cold; but great; then we came in and hung out and went to sleep; i woke up; kelsey left; chrissy told me she was going by lisas; so im here bored; im thinking about mowing the lawn or soemthing; i mean hey i get money so why not!; well anyway; theres nothing more to really say;

yesterday i went to my nanas for dinner; my poppops isnt doingn to well; =[ and hung out there for a little; chrissy went out; i hung out with matt matt david jackie and jenny pretty fun times;

then today i had school; =[ very boring and nothing special; thou; SOMEONE; was saying some mean stuff to SOMEONE ELSE; and im going to have to do some major ass kicking tomrrow! i will not tolerate people being mean to my friends! ha; well;

senses fail is tomrrow; and i couldnt be more excited; POOL PARTY MY HOUSE this saturday; good times i know; i cant wait for this weekend its going to be AWESOME; but then we have to go back to school to get ready for finals =[ BLEH; i hate finials but i like getting out at like 10! thats cool;

today im home from school; im sick; =[ but i really cant miss chem; so im going in 9th period; haha; then i get to come home after 40 mins of school; and do what ever i wnat; haha; funfunfun; i know; but im still sick; and sick; haha;

yesterday was my cousins graduation party; she graduated from college! and on monday she is going to grad school; haha; doesnt that sound fun; even thou it was my family; i didnt really know many people; cause my we never really see my cousins other side cause there not very close; and at holidays and birthdays there never there? hhaha; i dont know why; it was fun; we hung out; and we took my sisters video camera around and we got everyone on camera saying stuff to jenny; then we got home; and i went to sleep;

today i got lots; and lots of sleep; my sister woke me up; and i watched tv; and then played nintendo for like 5 minutes cause it was making my head hurt even more; =[ well; today theres not much on the list; ill prob watch tv all day haha; whowh; funfunfun; i know; and tomrrow i have to go to the dentist; =] i like the dentist cause he gives you stickers! haha;

ah; i know its been a while since i updated; and im sorry!; haha; not like its SOO exciting to hear about my life;

well this weekend was pretty cool; ill sum it up for ya; alissa party; even thou her bday is in like 2 weeks; but it was aweasome; we bought her a cardobard cut out of orlando bloom; you know that hottie haha; and we were walking around with it; and lets just say that people were starring; but hey who cares; haha; & i got home and there were police at my house; oh horray; haha; this kid missed the trun on the end of my street?? ok its not like even a 180 turn its like a 90 haha; and he ran over my lawn and hit the next door neighbors tree; haha; funny; well not intirely; haha;

sunday was mothers day whowhw; chrissy came home; and we started making are plans for this summer; we either going to go to cali or hawaii; were not sure yet; have to discuss this stuff throughly; haha

well NEWS; ok; this summer im going down to florida with kelsey!! im soo excited; her dad lives there so im going down with her; me and her on a plane by ourselves HAHA; i think my parents are on somehting; and were going to have major fun; and its in orlando; you know what that means; yea; WALMART; OH JEEZE; gotta love the walmarts; were actually getting one in by us and im soo excited about that; i mean we have enough home depos here why cant they make one a walmart; hm; good question;

well; um; haha; im going to see senses fail and alkaline trio on the 21st with kelsey; and were going to have soo much fun; and ewa would be able to come; but she wont ask her mom cause thats how she rolls;

this weekend was pretty pretty awesome haha

friday- went to the movies with nikki sarah sarah alissa casey and ewa it was muchhhooo fun, we went and saw mean girls whowhwowh then we went to pathmark where we met some guys and they came to the diner with us and we hung out and they walked us to sarahs house where my mom came and picked me and ewa up and we were off back to home

sat i mowed the lawn!!!! it was awesome haha well it was deffiently worth the money whowh the kelsey came over and we hung out, listened to some ben jelen HAHAHAHHAHAHAH she got sooo pissed off cuase i kept on putting that song on just to piss her off HAHA it was great, then ewa arrived and we chilled and she brought a movie so we watched it, CARRIE. it was umm, an interesting movie, kelsey had to leave in like the middle of it but me and ewa journeyed on, and hten watched hte ben stiller show cuase ewa has it on dvd, then ewa had to go home and i went to sleep

today was boring, i had to wake up early cause the cable guys came to are house and i had to make sure they were in line cause my dad wasnt home and my mom cant work the tv. so it was up to me!!! today was pretty boring thou, i finished my english project and i d.l photo shop adobe, its a really good progrm no wonder is like 800 so i was messing around with it, and i need a new layout so help me out!!!!

well theres not much to say i havent posted in a long time, and i have sooo many pictures too show but i am just way to lazy to post them =/ so maybe tomorrow

tuesday was the three days grace concert, it was soooo awesome, and it was really really fun and i enjoyed it haha it was me ewa, nikki, and kelsey i mean funn we counted that the guy behind us had 5 cigs in a half an hour hahah and when i got home i needed a shower soo badly my hair smelt like an ash try haha, kelsey was stuck right by the mosh pit hahah. it was great.. i dont think that she was EXCALTY happy about that one, well it was on good time. then we left and i got home around 12 did my homework, showered, and what not. then off to bed i was

wed was a REALLLY boring day. not much too it. i ended up working on my englih project the whole day which i found out now shes giving us an extra weekend for it. so i worked so hard for nothing hahha, and the OC<3 was on which i was very very happy about, then south park OH MAN that was funnnyy.. then homeowrk and what not again, and hten off to sleep

today(daddys birthday. HAPPYYYY BIRTHDAY DADDYY!!!!) was boring, school was SOO slow, and it was worthless hahaha, i came home and worked on my english project again funfunfunfunfunfuffunfunfufnufnfunfunfunf and then something happened with my tv, the satelite signal isnt working. =[ so im going ot miss that 70's show tonight =[ BIG bummer.. and its sad sad sad.

tomorrow im going to azaras new house. im really sad that this is going to be her last year here. im going to miss her a lot, im really mad that shes moving, even thou its only like 2 towns over. still im going to miss her! and im going to sleep over in her new mansion. man you should see this thing. AH well... nothing i mean NOTHING at all has been going on lately

sat i slept over kelseys house whohoh funfunfun and on sunday we went to a MONSTER TRUCK RALLEY and MUSTANG<3 car show!! i will have pictures soo for your viewing pleasure!!! whowhwohwohwowhowhowhoh

well today was YIPPE back to school day! it was kinda depressing you know, just gettong over spring break and now i have to go back to school! oh jeeze, and i have to do my english project BOOHOO. but i mean there are some things that im looking foward to. this summer im going to california for vacation and im going to go and see JAMIE.. man i miss that girl so much.. i mean BFF right there, and we were going to the jersey shore<3 hahahhahah whowhwoh and much much to look foward too

tomorrow im going to a three days grace concert with nikki, well i invited like 7 people and there are 4 tickets left and no one likes to tell me if they are comming or there not! so isnt this just one big party!!!

yesterday me ewa and sarah went to nikkis house, we decided that we were going to roast marshmallows so me and sarah went to quick check and bought marshmallows and bacon! and nikki and ewa made a fire and we got there and well roasted marshmallows, and umm.. the bacon didnt work so great so i had to make it on the stove for them, and sarah made us pina coladas! yuummm.. and then we went for a walk, and we went to taht place across from woodland, you know the one thats like deserted and such, and then we went to woodland and such, then me and ewa came to my house and my daddy got us tickets go to see three days grace, honestly, i havnet really heard most of there stuff, but i know that nikki really likes them so i got her tickets so she could go see them and they were only 92 CENTS hahahah. tahts awesome yes i know, and ummmmm ok well then we went to sarahs and met up with sarah and nikki and some guy juniors were there, and then they left but cedric stayed and we had ORANGE FIGHTS, yes haha we were throwing oranges over her house and the people on the other side would get the oranges and throw them back over, and i have a stain on my sweat shirt cause nikki threw an orange at me and it had dirt all over it haha, then we went on another walk, we must have walked like 5 miles SERIOUSLY haha then we went back, watched some tv and then it was time to go home

this morning i got up pretty late at about 12, i felt sick. so baciassly the day was 2 movies, i read a book, took a nap, online, and made dinner with my mom, it was actually not that bad of a day, i kinda feel bad cause i make my mom bring me to all of these places and do all this stuff for me, but we never really spend that much time together, so that was good! and umm haha idk. theres not much more to say anymore...

spring break= aweasomeness im soo happy that we finially get a break!!!!! but im sad that alissa and sarah went away and i cant see them =[

monday me ewa and nikki hung out, we were contemplating on what to do, so we went to my house and watched problems with er, and this one girl had a needle in her knee and they had to dig it out and she was like singing in anohter language when they were getting it out, idk it was funny haha, i made MILKSHAKES, and it was all good, hahah and then we went to ewas where we talked and hung out like we were cool hahah

tuesday casey came over and we watched 2 FAST 2 FURIOUS, i mean, good movie, even if you dont liek cars i mean ive seen the movie like 1239801823 times and i sitll love it!! then ewa came over and we went outside and we play STREET HOCKEY. i mean it was intense, we played for like 3 hours hahah, and then i got a splinter from the hockey stick and it took like an hour to get out, hahah then casey had to leave cuase she had to baby sit and me and ewa went over sarahs with nikki, and it was fun, we hung out and partied, haha, amd nikki and sarah made me a CAKE <3<3 hahahha cause they love me, then we went to nikkis house later and watched one tree hill and hte real world and cabin fever.. well we didnt get to watch all of it, and it was fun, hahah

ANNNNDD today, well i dont know whats going on today, i have a english project that im trying to avoid, but wont be able to for long, AHHHHHHHhhhh... well.. theres not much more to say, whwohwowhowh

WELL.. i know that you all want a walkthrough of friday skate and surf, cause before i didnt tell you much well.. heres what happened.

first, when we got there, we had to wait an hour and 40 mins until we got it. but it was all good, it was all worth it, and then we went and we saw

funeral for a friend.. well everyone who read my last post knows what went on there, hahah it was crazy i know, they rock live, and it was all worth it
relient k AW they were awesome, the crowd wasnt to big and i felt bad for them, but i loved screaming hahah
coheed and cambria we werent close at all hahah, but they were still good

starting line, they played there new stuff thats going to come out this summer, im not a huge fan of them but they were good

ah. well i know you all l ike to hear about my day and i know that you like everything that i say hahah.. well we got home late, what ever i drank burned my throat and my ears were ringing for waht seemed to be forever hahaha, but it was all good, i came home and crashed, and a day later im still tired haha.. but im really fired up for tomrrow when i go back again!!!!!! ah.. i know that you all like to hear this hahah
